About Marriam
I want to show people that math and learning can be fun and not scary! Everything you need to know is in your brain... I'm just here to help get it out. I want every one of my students to understand that academics are super important but so are living and having fun. That is why I like to create bonds with my students so that I can watch them bloom as people socially and academically. I want to help students gain critical thinking and problem solving skills to use in all areas of their life!

My lessons are for any ages or levels. I have tutored for many years among peers and kids younger than me. I am very patient and can work with people who are beginners or easily frustrated (Trust me! I know math can be frustrating sometimes!). The length of the lesson will depend on the students but I suggest no less than 30 minutes and no longer than 90 minutes. I prefer for students to send me the work they need help with, along with their questions before we meet so that I can find the best possible solution for how to help them solve their problems. I also like to make my own problems similar to the ones they were struggling with so they can gain practice and problem solving skills.
