About Seth
Hi, I’m Seth — a recent BSc Economics graduate from Cardiff University, where I specialised in mathematical and statistical methods. My degree involved extensive work in algebra, calculus, probability, and data analysis, building on the strong mathematical skills I developed after excelling in both GCSE and A-Level Maths — skills I now bring to my tutoring.
My teaching journey has also taken me to multiple Japanese high schools, from Tokyo to Osaka, where I learned to adapt my explanations to different learning styles and create a calm, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and build confidence quickly.
Over the years, I’ve developed a clear and methodical approach to problem-solving, focusing on helping students understand the “why” behind each step — not just memorise formulas. I know that maths can sometimes feel intimidating, so my lessons are designed to be relaxed, supportive, and tailored to your pace.

I offer engaging online Maths tutoring for GCSE and A-Level students, covering Pure Maths, Statistics, and Mechanics. Each lesson is tailored to your goals — whether that’s building confidence, improving exam technique, or achieving top grades.
I understand that maths can sometimes feel overwhelming — I’ve been there myself. There were topics I found challenging too, but through patience and practice, I learned how to break them down into simple, manageable steps. Having been through those struggles myself, I know how important it is to have someone who explains things simply and patiently until it finally clicks.
My approach focuses on clear explanations, step-by-step problem solving, and regular exam-style practice. Lessons are interactive and supportive, helping you feel confident tackling even the trickiest questions. From the first session, I’ll identify your strengths and areas to improve, then create a structured plan to ensure quick and consistent progress.
