About Lotte
I am a writer and editor. My creative prose and poetry has been published in international publications like 14 Poems and more locally in Verve Zine. I have professional experience as a writer, editor and manager for over 5 years. I have generated materials in both the creative and business field, including: published prose and poetry writing, non-fiction pieces, reviews, interviews, grant writing submissions, manuals, letters, proposals, presentations and style guides. Whilst working as a writer in the government sector over the past 3 years I have also engaged in creative projects that herald the field of literature and have worked to center this in my everyday. I graduated with a credit average from the University of Sydney and am currently working as a tutor at Weave Community Centre.

In highschool I was an HSC Distinguished achiever and came first in English Extension 2, Second in English Extension 1 and Visual Art obtaining a place in Art Express. The subjects I undertook were:

My teaching method is to first cultivate a safe educational space and relationship with my student. Whilst focusing the beginning of every lesson on finishing homework, the rest of the tutoring session is to allow the student to bring forward any topic or work they wish to address that they are having obstacles in or tension towards. Tutoring is not school. I don't believe that students should be coming to an extra hour or so of school when they sit with me, instead it is re-approaching the way we educate students and creating an approachable educational conduit to learning that is approachable and fun.
