About Mary
Hello, my name is Mary and I am a Primary School Learning Support Assistant working with pupils in Years 4–6. I have a passion for supporting children in their learning, particularly in Maths and English, and helping them grow in confidence.
Through my role in school, I see how much of a difference the right support can make to a child’s progress and self-belief. This is what motivated me to begin tutoring, so I can give children more individual attention and help them reach their full potential.
I am friendly, patient, and approachable, and I aim to build positive relationships with the children I work with so they feel comfortable and supported in their learning.

My lessons are tailored to each child’s individual needs, helping them build confidence and make clear progress in Maths and English. I create a calm, supportive environment where children feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.
I use a structured approach, including recap, clear explanations, and interactive practice to reinforce understanding. I adapt each session depending on the child, whether they need help with SATs preparation, reading comprehension, or strengthening key skills.
My aim is to make learning positive and manageable, so every child leaves the lesson feeling more confident and capable.
