About Lani
I studied chemistry at the University of Plymouth and received a first class honours degree. Particular areas of interest for me were inorganic and analytical chemistry.
I decided to expand my knowledge by undertaking an MSc in Analytical Science and Instrumentation at the University of Warwick (for which I received a distinction). As part of this, I carried out a four month research project based around electrochemistry and novel electrode materials.
Between my degrees I worked as an SEN teaching assistant in a KS2 classroom where I was also responsible for teaching science and maths. After my masters I took a position as a HLTA before leaving to start my career in science.

I have previously run maths interventions which have helped students grasp key concepts and improve their confidence.
I typically run 30-60 minute sessions based around an area of your choosing.
I love finding creative ways to explain new ideas and am happy to work in whatever format suits you best. If you're struggling to understand something it absolutely doesn't mean you can't do it - just that we need to find a new way to approach it!
