About Kevin
I have a degree in History focusing on Early American History between 1763 and 1865 and Modern European History emphasizing the years 1880-1945. I am closely in touch with both Post Graduate history scholars as well as K-12 faculty and history curricula. My goal is to ensure a passing grade on the AP Exam. I will tailor my approach for my students based on the existing skill set within history. We cannot run before walking so patience and generating certain learning habits is what I like to impart first before we build upon that foundation with more complex events and key decisions.

I don't believe that history is a regurgitation of facts - it is not possible to learn everything. My approach is a focus on specific events - identifying the key actors, what information they knew at the time and the significance of the result of their decisions be it a group or a person. I take a very holistic view at the curricula and apply the same methodology for all events. We will start slow with initial 30 minute sessions and then we will tailor session length based on where the focus is required and what items need more care.
