About Birce
Clarinet student at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, I love sharing music with others. I relate closely to younger learners and create a supportive, encouraging environment, helping them build confidence and enjoy their progress. I have worked with young students, ran workshops as part of outreach projects while being one of London Philharmonic Orchestra Junior Artists 23/24 and studying at The Purcell School. Also happy to help any adults who want to learn or return to playing.

My approach to teaching is friendly, patient, and tailored to each student. I focus on building a strong technical foundation while keeping lessons enjoyable and engaging. For beginners, I emphasise good posture, tone production, and basic music reading, using simple exercises and familiar tunes. As students progress, I introduce more advanced repertoire, technique, and musical expression, always adapting to their pace and goals.
Lessons are typically 30–60 minutes depending on age and level. I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence. Based in London, I offer in-person lessons in Greenwich and Barbican, with flexibility to travel locally, as well as online lessons.
I am currently studying clarinet at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and previously studied at The Purcell School and awarded the honorary title Sir Charles Mackerras Scholar. I have extensive performance experience as a soloist, orchestral, and chamber musician as well as a workshop leader and a collaborative musician.
My lessons are ideal for beginners to intermediate students, including children, teenagers, and adults who are new to the clarinet or returning to playing. :)
