About Niek
Hi, I'm Niek, 18 years old and I'm studying at the University of Amsterdam. The study I'm doing is econometrics and I'm now in my 2nd year. I like helping people to understand math better because I understand very well how it can be difficult sometimes
The last 3 years I have given tutoring at people in my town, almost everyone that I helpt during that time went op on skills and grades

My method of teaching is in a structured way. I tutored high school students for three years. Personal contact is important to me and I can always be reached on WhatsApp to answer any questions or ambiguities while doing homework
During the tutoring itself, I will check with the student what goes right and what goes wrong. Then I will clearly explain what is going less well and explain the steps in which you have to act. Then we practice a few assignments together and I let the student try it himself as much as possible, because no one learns from predicting. If everything goes well after a few assignments, we move on to the next topic.

Alle lessen van Niek waren heel goed, hij was altijd op tijd en legde alles goed en duidelijk uit. Kon altijd bij hem terecht met kleine dingetjes ook buiten de lessen om. Hij heeft me van een 5,5 naar een 8 geholpen. Dus zou hem zeker aanraden aan iedereen
Niek heeft mij 2 jaar enorm geholpen. Het contact verliep heel soepel, en ik kon ook altijd vragen buiten de lessen om stellen dat was allemaal geen probleem. Tijdens de lessen was die altijd op tijd en goed voorbereid. Hij had altijd goed door waar het bij mij mis liep en dit legde hij ook altijd snel en duidelijk uit. Als je problemen hebt met wiskunde dan raad ik niek heel erg aan
Ik heb een jaar bijles gehad van niek, en het heeft me heel erg geholpen. Hij legt dingen altijd heel duidelijk uit waardoor ik het vaak veel beter snap dan wanneer de docent het uitlegt.
