About Jessica
Hi! I’m a driven person who loves to learn, and watch people learn. I’m a finance and accounting admin who misses school (ironically, I never liked it while attending). I’m extremely involved in everything I do. I’ve seen all sorts of places and learned very valuable lessons on these journeys. I hate small talk, and I can’t understand people who are all business. I believe you must find happiness in everything you do, no matter the struggle that can come with it. Math, for example, can be very boring and hard to approach; when you can fully understand it, you can almost find it meditating and effortless.

Math is one of the hardest subjects to learn and understand. Sometimes it can be like reading a foreign language, and sometimes the next step in an equation is on the tip of your tongue but you just can’t remember it. I’ve tutored a wide variety of students, from elementary school, college peers, and special education; all of which I’ve seen succeed and approach math differently. The approach to a problem is the most important thing, and I believe teaching recognition of problems and remembering the corresponding solution is the most important thing. After all once it’s broken down, math problems are the same thing over and over again just with different numbers. I’ve worked and studied under several mathematics textbooks, and had my own approaches and ways to find solutions submitted to print.
