About Aniela
Growing up, I always really struggled with mathematics. In eighth grade, I had an amazing teacher who was the reason I went from barely passing a state exam the year before to getting a perfect score the next. I realized I was not the issue; prior teachers were not meeting my learning needs, and that has stuck with me since. I know mathematics can be discouraging, but I would love to help other kids who may be struggling, just as I did, find a love for math. Although my favorite subject in school was always Language Arts, I genuinely appreciated the contrast of math and how black-and-white it was. I would love to help others see the beauty in it, too!

I like to take an inquiry-based learning approach with a growth mindset, so kids will be able to use the skills they learn independently! I usually start a lesson by explaining the basic methods, then go over examples, have the kids lead an example, and then have them work independently. I think it's super important to check in with them every step of the way so they not only understand the concepts, but also why/how they work. These lessons are mostly aimed for elementary and middle school students.
