About Jack
My name is Jack Martin, and I have just moved from Canberra to Melbourne to study a Bachelor of Science/Masters of Engineering course at the University of Melbourne. I took the IB, and obtained a 41 IB score (97.5 ATAR), getting 7s in physics, chemistry and math. I have always loved STEM subjects, especially physics, math, and chemistry, and find the idea of understanding how our world works fascinating. Because of this, I would love to be able to help other kids better explore these topics, whether it is their strong suit or not, so that they can hopefully get a better understanding of these topics and inspire an interest in this area of study.

I strongly believe that the best way to learn and improve at STEM subjects is simply lots of practice answering questions and exams, rather than simply taking notes. As such my main method of teaching would be guiding the student through different questions while encouraging them to understand what they are doing wrong and how they should fix it. I do not have much experience as a tutor, apart from having tutored a few students in high school. A lesson would typically last around 60 minutes.
