About Simon
I am currently a student studying mathematics with finance at the University of Exeter. I studied maths, further maths and politics for A-levels, as well as doing ad-maths as an additional GCSE. Up to this point I have predominantly used the Edexcel specification for maths, which I was able to achieve high grades in both GCES’s and A-levels. Although the material covered between each exam boards differs, and i mainly have used edexcel, both school and university have helped me to understand and teach maths across all boards.

During the tutoring lessons, I can go over questions or topics that you have asked me about before, and prepare material for the lesson ahead. However if you would prefer an overview of the whole course, I am also able to provide questions surrounding each topic. I personally believe that practicing questions and doing papers is the best method to achieve high grades, however you need to have an understanding of then content in order to be able to do the questions, therefore I try to help students with the goal of them to be able to answer questions.
A typical length of a lesson is one hour.
My school had a system in place where A-level students would tutor younger students on subjects. This helped me to gain experience in tutoring maths, with the help of lessons form teachers regarding teaching. I was teaching children form ages 8 to 16 (year 4 to 11), meaning that I am able to teach up to and including GCSE students.
