About Janka
Hello! My name is Janka, and I am a student at the University of Amsterdam. I am passionate about traveling, discovering new cultures, and learning new languages.
When I was 11 I moved abroad, where I joined an English school where I quickly had to learn the language, so I know how difficult it can be to overcome the language barrier.
I am a language learner myself and I am continuing my journey in learning Spanish and German. Moreover, I love reading books and listening to music, and meeting new people!

For the past four years, I have been regularly organising English tutoring classes for children and adults, teaching them skills including writing, speaking, listening and reading, preparing them for language exams and helping them succeed. I have experience in teaching beginners, intermediates, as well as advanced students.
Overall, my lessons have an inquiry-based approach, focusing on questions, discovering new themes. Usually for each class I like to choose a specific theme for example traveling, holidays, culture, etc. and throughout the class I incorporate practicing several skills mentioned above. I can easily adjust to your preferences in order to achieve your English goals!
