About Gabriel
My name is Gabriel Messias, I am a young man of 24 years, graduated in Materials Engineering and currently taking a Master's Degree in Science and Materials Engineering, both at the Federal University of Amazonas - UFAM. My contact with the English language comes from childhood, extending to adulthood always through empirical learning, whether through online materials or common tools that can be obtained in everyday life, such as songs, articles in English, etc. Due to the need to become more and more accustomed to the English language, I formally took an English course offered by the Language Study Center (CEL / UFAM) for a period of one year (2019), where I was able to develop my conversational skills, and improve my grammatical knowledge of the language, including vocabulary and writing. I seek, above all, to be able to share all my knowledge acquired so far, in addition to learning even more from the teaching experience, and to further improve my skills in a language as challenging as it is pleasant to study.

In general, classes will be focused on the study of grammar and direct communication, in order to apply the knowledge acquired on a daily basis. However, the teaching methodology varies according to the student's objective. The main need is to reach the student's personal goals and work on his personal difficulties with the language, in a light and organic way. I try to use examples related to the student's daily life, as well as personal tastes and experiences, in order to provide a satisfactory and enriching learning, without being rigidly attached to theory. I also seek to apply daily exercises to reinforce the subjects studied, since the experience of “living the language” is essential to achieve a good level of communication.
