About Alexander
I am a student teacher of secondary mathematics at Birmingham University. Through my teaching placement I have gained experience teaching children from ages 11-16 and I have regularly taught two classes of students in year 7 and 8. I have a bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Statistics from Newcastle University which has helped me to gain an advanced mathematical knowledge and has further reinforced my understanding of the content in the national curriculum.

I give lessons to students at Key stage 3, GCSE, and A level standard. I can teach all mathematics content from the national curriculum and I have a particular strength for statistics. I use scaffolding as the basis for my teaching, and often start by running through some example questions and answers for students, and then ask the students to answer questions for me, showing me how they apply what I have taught them.
