About Dave Aditya Jefferson

I myself have been tutored in my past multiple times, but I never quite performed too well with the student-teacher dynamic since I realized that certain struggles that a student might face is exclusive to the student only, not the teacher sitting at the other end of the table. The round table approach is something I follow with my students, identifying their weaknesses, helping them not feel embarrassed about it, helping them build the confidence to tackle the problems presented to them. For once, a student can feel that their tutor knows exactly what they're feeling, since, chances are, I have taken exactly the same exams or have had the same goals at some point, and I achieved them.

About the lesson

Since I mostly teach English and Mathematics for specific competitive exams, I focus on an extremely structured approach, entirely based around the requirements of the exam. Time is always a crucial factor and dipping your fingers in too many things at once might be a deterrent.

What students often struggle with is direction, while preparing for exams like the SAT or TOEFL. I personally overcame it 2 years ago while taking the exams myself, and I can predict the requirements of my students when it comes to these exams. The classes will mostly be based around involved problem solving, rather than me lecturing. I like to focus on actual exercises that the student will face in the exam, from the very first day.

These classes are specifically intended for students in 11th or 12th grade, or in their undergraduate programme.
