About Abhinav
Hello! I’m a student at IIT Madras with a deep passion for teaching science and mathematics to young minds. I believe that every child is naturally curious — my goal is to nurture that curiosity and turn complex concepts into fun, relatable lessons. I focus on building strong foundations so that students not only score well in exams but also truly understand and enjoy what they learn.

As a student at IIT Madras, I have a strong academic foundation in science and mathematics, and I am passionate about making these subjects engaging and understandable for young learners. I focus on teaching primary and secondary school students, helping them build curiosity, conceptual clarity, and confidence.
My Teaching Techniques and Methods
Concept-Based Learning: I emphasize understanding why something works, not just memorizing formulas.
Real-Life Examples: I relate concepts to day-to-day life—whether it’s explaining gravity through a falling object or fractions using pizza slices.
Interactive & Visual Learning: I often use drawings, animations, and digital tools to help visual learners grasp complex topics.
Socratic Questioning: I ask open-ended questions to spark thinking and allow students to explore ideas on their own.
Personalized Pace: I adjust my teaching based on the student’s learning speed and style.
Structure of a Typical Class
Warm-up (5 mins): A quick recap or an interesting question to set the tone.
Concept Explanation (15-20 mins): Teaching the core idea with examples and visuals.
Guided Practice (10-15 mins): Solving problems together to build confidence.
Student Practice (10 mins): Independent problem-solving with my support.
Review & Doubt Clearing (5-10 mins): We go over common mistakes and ensure clarity.
My Special Features as a Teacher
Being a Young Mentor: As a student myself, I connect well with children and understand their challenges.
Focus on Foundations: I ensure students are not just scoring marks but truly understanding concepts.
Tech-Savvy Tools: I use digital platforms, interactive whiteboards, and learning games to make sessions lively.
Growth Mindset: I encourage mistakes as learning opportunities and build resilience in students.
Who My Classes Are For
Primary School Students (Grades 1–5): Building strong fundamentals in arithmetic, basic science, and logical thinking.
Secondary School Students (Grades 6–10): Strengthening concepts in physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics—aligned with CBSE/ICSE/state boards.
