I base much more on the understanding of the theoretical notions before starting the examples since by understanding the notion one will be able to manage all the types of the questions that can be asked. Make several demonstrations with the whole class before asking the students to make comparisons alone. Keep in touch with the students after the sessions to give them help in their homework and do their best to be able to improve their thinking.
