About Kayla
I have been a teacher for 6 years, working through my high school, through private works and non-profits. I was also recruited by my University to guide parents and new students through courses.
I have received both training and experience working with special needs, ADHD and ADD students. Much of my work revolves around ensuring students have the tools they need to succeed and the teaching styles they need to learn.
I have taken several courses in college tgat cover learning styles, methods and brain function which have supplemented formal training.

Patience and understanding are the keys to teaching a new skill. After six years I have mastered different teaching and learning styles and will match the student where they are and get them where they want to be.
Lessons begin with an overview and clear goal set by the student. We will follow their interests as the lesson progresses. The key to learning is engagement, so all material will be presented and taught in a way the student can follow and take outside of the classroom.
I will also teach study methods and tricks that I used through high school and college.
