About Patti-Jean
I have a degree in English Writing from St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY. I studied Physics through Physics III and Calculus III.
While I was homeschooling my own children through Towle Institute, I was asked if I wanted to teach a class. I taught 6th Grade English and Middle School Math. I love Algebra and mathmatics in general.
I have a unique way of helping students understand the mathmatical concepts through explanation and practice.
I'm very patient with my students as I want them to succeed and learn and relate math to real life.

I previously used Saxon Math for teaching middle school math. For tutoring my lesson plans are student specific depending on mathmathic level (middle school, algebra I, algebra II, etc).
I like to see where the student is struggling and find a new approach to learning one on one where the student also relates mathmatics to real life and not just text book questions.
Although, I advanced to Physics III and Calculus III, I prefer to stay below Geometry level of math.
