About Amadou
I am an enthusiastic Saxophone tutor with 18 years of experience, and I have successfully trained around 150 students across all learning levels. I believe personal attention is essential for effective music education.
My tutoring approach focuses on detailed skill training and individual guidance. I carefully observe each student’s playing and provide specific feedback to improve tone, breathing, finger movement, and rhythm. Lessons are paced according to student comfort and ability.
I include warm-ups, technique exercises, song practice, listening activities, and basic music theory. I also help students understand how to self-correct and practice independently.
My unique strength is my attention to small details that make a big difference. My goal is to help students develop accuracy, confidence, and musical maturity on the saxophone.

My saxophone teaching methodology focuses on adaptability, collaboration, and positivity. I recognise that each student learns differently, so I design lessons tailored to their pace, style, and musical goals, combining demonstration, listening, and practical exercises.
Flexibility is key to my approach. Lessons are adapted according to progress, interests, and motivation, ensuring learning is engaging, enjoyable, and productive. Collaboration encourages students to actively participate, experiment with improvisation, and contribute creative ideas, building both confidence and musical skill.
I maintain a positive and supportive environment where achievements are celebrated and challenges become opportunities to grow. Lessons cover saxophone technique, improvisation, musical interpretation, performance preparation, and theory to provide a comprehensive foundation.
Beyond saxophone, I teach related subjects including sight-reading, ensemble performance, ear training, and music theory. My aim is to develop confident, expressive musicians with a lifelong passion for music.
