About Ricardo
I am a passionate Piano tutor with 12 years of teaching experience, guiding students from beginner to advanced levels. Over this time, I have successfully taught around 150 students, helping them develop confidence, musical understanding, and strong piano technique. My tutoring approach is student-centered and flexible.
I begin by understanding each student’s goals and learning pace. Beginners focus on posture, hand positioning, rhythm, and basic note reading. Intermediate students work on scales, coordination, and finger control. Advanced students develop musical expression, dynamics, and performance skills. I believe learning piano should be structured but enjoyable.
I include music theory, sight-reading, and ear training in lessons so students understand what they play. I also guide students on how to practice effectively for steady progress. One of my strengths is my patient and encouraging teaching style. I create a positive environment where students feel confident and motivated. My goal is to help students become expressive pianists with a lifelong love for music.

My teaching methodology for Piano is built on Adaptation to Learning Styles, Flexibility, Collaboration, and Positivity. I aim to help students learn piano at their own pace while enjoying the journey.
Lessons begin with piano basics such as posture, finger technique, hand coordination, rhythm accuracy, and note reading. These are practiced through guided exercises and simple pieces. As students progress, I introduce scales, chords, sight-reading, and expressive techniques. Flexibility allows lesson plans to change based on comfort level.
Collaboration is encouraged through open communication and shared goal-setting. I involve students in choosing music and tracking progress. Practice methods are explained in a simple and clear way.
Positivity defines my teaching style. I motivate students through encouragement and supportive feedback. Mistakes are treated as part of learning. In addition to piano lessons, I teach music theory basics, rhythm skills, ear training, and performance confidence. My goal is to create confident and motivated piano learners.
