About Stella
For the past 5 years, I’ve taught chemistry through one of its most relatable forms — food. With an MSc in Radiochemistry, I specialise in food chemistry and nutritional science. I teach students about macromolecules, food additives, and metabolic processes in ways that make complex chemistry accessible. My lessons explore how cooking transforms ingredients on a molecular level. We dive into the chemistry behind flavours, preservation, and texture. I also include activities like dietary analysis and food product design to connect learning to real life. My goal is to make chemistry feel meaningful and fun. Every student learns differently, so I adjust my methods to suit each one’s strengths. Whether through discussion or demonstration, I emphasise understanding over memorisation. Over time, my students grow confident and curious about how chemistry shapes the food we eat. It’s an exciting journey that blends science with everyday life. Together, we’ll master chemistry to better understand healthy, delicious living.

I teach chemistry with a focus on thoughtful exploration and strong mathematical foundations.
