STEAM Educator incorporating hip-hop/poetry & academic games in the curriculum. Credentials/experience include a PhD in Biomedical Engineering, tutoring every grade level from K thru Grad School.

Dr. Cepeda is a great professional, teacher and person. He is very flexible and patient and understanding. Great temper and highly qualified. David is very optimistic but also very honest. I’m thankful of having him.

David was a good friend of mine in college, always brilliant, always kindhearted, so it was a no brainer to me when 13 years later he said that he was tutoring to select him as my daughters tutor who needs help in math/science. When he began working with her in Algebra, the semesters had been tepid, and in one session she aced her next math exam going from C average test scores to As and B+. He was also a resource for summer PSAT prep. My kid is two years out from PSATs so he works with her so that she can do well when the time comes. David is also patient, and often calms me down when I feel that my daughter isn’t paying attention to him as much, or being flaky. He uses his teaching skills of highschool students to help me understand why I see a certain behavior, or explains what it means. I would highly recommend him to anyone and for any type of child because he has both the technical expertise and the interpersonal skills to connect with any student of any age and with any type of need. I look forward to continuing work with him probably well until my daughter is in college as she needs help with her coursework, tests or learning concepts.
