About Cynthia
Hello, my name is Cynthia. 你好， 我叫Cynthia
I can speak fluent Chinese, English and basic French. I am currently living in Canada。我会说汉语， 英语和一点法语。我目前住在加拿大。
I have been teaching Chinese for adults online for nearly 3 years. 我已经在线上教授中文快3年了。
What I enjoy most about teaching is that when I’m teaching students, I can also sometimes learn something new about the Chinese language and Chinese culture, which I didn't know before. 我喜欢教中文因为在教授学生的同时， 有是我自己也能学到我之前不知道的有关中文和中国文化的知识。
My goal in teaching is to make Chinese as non-complicated as possible. Chinese is often very challenging for foreign students, for one, because it is a complex language, and it differs greatly from the students’ own language. So, my goal is to present and explain Chinese as clearly and straightforwardly as possible. 我的教学目标是让中文更容易学。对很多外国学生来说中文很难， 一个原因是中文有一个复杂的语言, 并且它与学生自己的语言非常不同。所以，我努力用最简单易懂的方式来展现中文。

My teaching methodology is focused on helping the students achieving their goals. It is nice to know how to say hello and thank you, and count from one to ten in Mandarin like many textbooks would teach you. But in reality, language is about saying what you want to say. There are a lot of amazing online materials, but studying them alone can be tricky. I can help to review these materials together and provide you with the help and study tips you need.
