About Marta
I’m a junior at Stanford University studying Biology, with experience tutoring students from elementary through high school in both STEM and writing. I’m highly organized, responsible, and genuinely committed to helping students succeed. Whether I’m helping with algebra homework or guiding a student through a college essay draft, I bring patience, positivity, and clear communication to every session. Outside of tutoring, I work in a cardiology research lab and have experience mentoring younger students in academic settings. I take pride in being dependable and responsive—students and parents can count on me to show up prepared and ready to help. My goal is always to make students feel supported, empowered, and confident in their own abilities.

My lessons are designed to be clear, supportive, and student-led. I start by identifying where the student feels confident and where they feel stuck. From there, I explain concepts using simple language, visuals, and real-world examples. We’ll work through practice problems or writing tasks together, and I’ll always make sure the student can explain the “why,” not just get the right answer.
Each session is customized depending on the subject and age—whether it’s helping a 4th grader stay motivated in math, supporting a 9th grader in biology, or editing a high schooler’s college essay. I tutor all core STEM subjects (math, biology, chemistry, physics) and also help with writing, English, and personal statements.
What sets me apart is my balanced approach: I’m a Stanford STEM major who also loves writing, and I know how to explain challenging ideas in a calm, encouraging way that helps students feel confident and capable. I am also a student so I understand the struggles of learning difficult concepts; I'm here to support you! Together, we can do this :)
