About Zia
I have always loved the idea of being able to assist individuals in their learning journey which has fueled my decision to study Education! I am young, optimistic, hard-working and patient, with the strong belief of individuality and balancing work and play. Each child is special and unique and with me, this will always be factored in. I am also fun, understanding, caring and compassionate, with great communication skills. I work well under pressure, have great organizational skills and have no problem following a schedule.

I believe that as a teacher and tutor, my greatest strengths are patience, compassion, flexibility and my open-minded nature. I believe that it is important to acknowledge and understand that everyone learns at a different pace and through different methodologies. Additionally, when teaching and tutoring, repetition is essential, especially for those tougher concepts! Being compassionate with my students allows me to consider their emotional state (ie. frustration, relief, anger, pride etc.), each of which will be identified and approached accordingly. Flexibility allows me to provide my students with various learning strategies and introduce an assortment of teaching methodologies. Being open-minded provides a platform for self-improvement, as through my pupils (and parents) feedback and responses I can recognize areas in which I can improve on.
My tuitions target problem areas within specific subjects and/or preparation for upcoming exams and tests.
