About Wentworth
I am a practising solicitor and called barrister with eight years’ experience managing legal cases, including High Court litigation. I achieved a Distinction in the Legal Practice Course and have completed STEP advanced certificates in Taxation of Trusts and Estates, and Trusts Law and Practice (International), with a Distinction in the latter. I am currently undertaking a further advanced certificate in UK Tax for International Clients.
One of my strengths is explaining complex legal concepts in simple, accessible terms. My practical experience helps me identify the key rules and distinctions you need to understand, organise them clearly and show how they apply to a client’s situation. This helps you make sense of detailed material and recognise what matters in an exam question.
I teach all SQE1 subjects across FLK1 and FLK2, including Business Law and Practice. As a Superprof Ambassador with extensive positive student reviews, I offer patient, focused tuition tailored to your starting point and exam goals.
A selection of reviews
‘He was a good tutor, very meticulous, particular and thorough. He really listened to what my requirements were and provided.’
‘Wentworth was a great tutor and I enjoyed and learnt a lot from his teaching techniques.’
‘The quality of teaching is excellent. My tutor Wentworth reads all of the texts I was given on a subject in advance, highlights them and finds further readings on the subject for me to read. His classes are very well structured and he discusses the topics in a way that makes them much more understandable.’
‘He is knowledgeable, engaging and extremely helpful regarding all areas of law. His method of teaching is engaging and fun and he also has a great sense of humour which has made it a lot less stressful. I would whole heartedly recommend Wentworth as a law tutor.’

Are complex topics taking too long to make sense? Do you understand your revision notes but struggle to choose the best answer, or feel unsure what to change before a resit?
I offer SQE1 tuition across FLK1 and FLK2 for both first-time candidates and students preparing to retake an assessment.
I break down difficult concepts into manageable steps, explain technical language plainly and use practical examples to show how the rules work. We identify the key information in a question, distinguish relevant facts from distracting detail and work through the reasoning needed to choose the best answer. My aim is to help you understand both the rule and when to use it.
We also discuss why competing options are incorrect and revisit difficult topics across sessions to strengthen retention and application.
You can choose:
• Individual tuition: flexible help with specific topics or questions. Suitable if you need occasional support or want to decide what to cover lesson by lesson.
• Ten-session targeted revision programme: a planned course of ten one-hour lessons covering up to three agreed FLK1 or FLK2 subjects, or one subject in greater depth. We establish your starting point, agree your goals and map out the lessons. Between sessions, you complete selected practice questions. We review your answers, revisit recurring mistakes and adjust the programme as you progress. The final session checks your progress against the initial goals and identifies priorities for your remaining revision.
• Revision and Question Technique Review: A focused 75-minute session examining your study history, revision methods and approach to selected multiple-choice questions. We explore whether difficulties arise from gaps in legal knowledge, revision technique, applying legal principles to factual scenarios, interpreting questions, distinguishing between plausible answers or managing time. The session includes a short advance questionnaire and concludes with practical recommendations to improve your preparation, including whether further tuition would be beneficial.
• Paired tuition: shared lessons for students preparing for the same sitting, studying the same subjects and working at a similar level.
The ten-session programme is particularly suitable if you want continuity, a clear revision schedule and regular accountability. Its scope is agreed before starting and complements your wider SQE1 preparation.
The Revision and Question Technique Review assesses your approach, with selected knowledge checks; it does not assess your knowledge across the whole syllabus.
Please message me with your intended exam sitting, whether it is your first attempt or a resit, the subjects you need help with and your main difficulties.

Wentworth was a great tutor and I enjoyed and learnt a lot from his teaching techniques. He helped me get a good result in my applied law module in my second year of my degree in Real Estate.
Wentworth successfully defended me in a legal case for which another firm of lawyers advised me against pursuing. In the two years that Wentworth represented me, as a Lawyer he never left a stone unturned, he was informative and had solutions for all aspects of the legal matters that faced us, I always felt like we were working as a team. Even when I was overwhelmed with the legalities, Wentworth never gave up, he is calm, knowledgeable, informative and instills confidence in you.
