About Helen
I am a sports engineering PhD student at Sheffield Hallam University. Throughout my PhD, I have provided lectures and tutorials to first-year students in relevant fields to my studies. I have also been involved with the Brilliant Club in which I was a full-time classroom teacher delivering a programme of academic enrichment to small groups of pupils through the use of personal PhD topic.

The way I approach teaching topics is not subjected to one method alone. I like to get an understanding of the student(s) way of approach to the topics and then apply the relevant teaching method to their style of learning.
I am kind, patient and love to provide real-life examples (related to the student's interests) to ensure a true understanding of the application of the topic in teaching to the real world (rather than just textbook examples).
