About Jia
I am a flexible person, able to change my way of teaching if it does not work for a certain student. Having taught a group of 20 middle schoolers in preparation for the SHSAT, I know both how to teach effectively, but also how to teach test strategies (and how to raise standardized test scores).

I use a mix of lecturing and practice problems (and adapting the level of classwork in real time by having a large question bank). I usually use a mixture of slideshows, Jamboard problem demos and timed practice exams (for standardized testing preparation). I model my lesson after my in school lessons (at a highly competitive high school), making them on level, yet still challenging.
