About Arjun
I have worked in various sectors and found my passion in teaching. I'm here to stay! Teaching is where I explore deep questions hidden inside of me. When I interact with kids, there is a new dimension that opens up within me- my thoughts, fears, ideas and preconceived notions. Teaching is closely related to learning and these happen parallelly. As an educator, I have been striving to get across information as objectively as possible. An important question to me is: is the result more important than the process itself? Or is it the other way around? Over the years, I have gained interest in looking at other factors that affect a student's understanding of a concept taught. These may be conditions at home, financial crunch, strained relations between parents, etc. I like to delve deep into these variable factors that play a significant role in a child's emotional health. In a nutshell, I am deeply interested in ensuring a holistic development of kids.

I do not believe in the rote method of learning because it doesn't allow creativity. Children need to understand and appreciate what they learn in every step of the learning process. Including children as active learners would help in taking ownership of tasks assigned. Following up on students' progress is a good way to show that one, as a teacher, is interested in their work. I give continuous and valuable feedback for children to work on. At the same time, I allow creativity in the form of different expressions of an idea. Learning happens when one feels part of the process and is able to relate it with their everyday life.
