About Kristi

I've been a special education teacher for 34 years, primarily focusing on one-on-one student support. With expertise across the curriculum for grades 5-9, I can assist students in organization, note-taking, assessment preparation, as well as remediation in math and reading.

About the lesson

My lessons are tailored specifically to the needs of the student. I typically work with students who are in middle school or high school. My goal during a tutoring session is to quickly establish rapport, assess student strengths and weaknesses and provide the appropriate instruction. I look for missing prerequisite skills and ensure mastery before moving to the next task. My ultimate goal in a session is to boost student confidence in their abilities.
