About Darnell
I have a undergraduate degree in computer science, I was a tutor of multiple subjects during that time and did that for 3 years. I am a Master Certified Level 3 Tutor by the College Reading and Learning Association. I have taught high school mathematics for 4 years now. I am very professional, polite, and understand that everyone starts from different places in math. I promise to do my best with helping you learn what you need to know, in order for you to do well in your class or so that you can reach any personal goal that you are aspiring for.

I use scaffolding, which means I start off by showing you how to do the problem, then we do a problem together, and finally you do a problem on your own to show that you can independently complete it. I can show you many different ways of solving a problem, and I can do this based on how you prefer to get your answer regardless of it being the longest way or the shortest way. A typical lesson plan is that we cover what the topic is, I give you the background information that you need, and we move forward to the problems at hand. These lessons are for anyone willing and wanting to learn any type of math (statistics, geometry, trigonometry, algebra, pre-calculus, calculus, etc.). I have tutored people with disabilities, young, old, and everything in between. I like to make math fun, so hopefully you'll enjoy our sessions.
