I sometimes struggle to explain how much I enjoy the mechanics of language. My path began by observing how Romance languages mirror each other in structure. That observation turned into 8 years of experience helping students learn.
It is rewarding work. I have taught 449 students ranging from kids to adults. I keep my tone articulate and patient as we move through verb conjugations or idioms. My background in Translation Studies helps me explain Latin American versus Castilian variants.
I prefer working with conversation-focused learners. We look at writing skills and reading comprehension together. It is a straightforward approach.
