About Christina
I am a certified High School Spanish teacher based in the South Bronx. I currently teach a course titled "Heritage Spanish" to native Spanish speaking students. In this course, I teach students to better develop their existing language skills in order to prepare them to take AP Spanish the following academic year. I began tutoring in Spanish since 2010 and I have been dedicated to learning more and sharing my acquired knowledge with others ever since. Although I teach high school Spanish, I offer Spanish tutoring at all levels; beginner - advanced.

My approach to teaching is collaborative and engaging and it inspires others to learn more on their own. I employ the use of various authentic materials to better familiarize students with how the language is used in context, which is the best way to internalize the language in a way that is more authentic. I also seek to nurture students' love for learning and themselves. I have demonstrated this methodology through increasing student engagement and accountability by creating and
implementing an engaging curriculum to promote student interest in the subject matter.
