About Ravyn
I grew up in Rockford, IL. My parents decided to move there because of its Language Academy that was right across the street from my Grandma’s home. I attended the Latin Academy from head start to 8th grade, there I was taught all different Spanish cultures and their languages. Each year I was taught by a teacher from a different Spanish culture, for ex. My 3rd grade teacher was from Spain while my 4th was from Costa Rica. Also, each year the language of certain courses I took changed, one year my Math & Science class were taught in Spanish, the next year in English. I then went on to high school where I took AP classes all four years because the basic classes were too easy & boring for me! All in all, Spanish is my native language and through much teaching I’m aware of how to make it a fun experience all while learning !

My lessons will begin REAL! I will first start off by telling you my life as a Spanish speaker and how it has it’s pros & cons as a minority.
We will start off by learning the NEEDED skill & vocabulary necessary to be able to go out into the world and use each and everyday. I will make it easy & fun as I possibly can!
No question is dumb! Never be afraid to ask me to repeat a word/phrase.
Let’s grow together as this is my first year teaching!
