About Sorrel
My love for Spanish began during my university studies and deepened through travel and cultural immersion. Over ten years of teaching, I’ve helped students from all walks of life achieve fluency and confidence. Watching them grow into capable communicators remains the most rewarding aspect of my work. I teach with empathy, patience, and adaptability. Lessons are personalized to each student’s pace and goals, balancing grammar, conversation, and cultural knowledge. Encouragement and positive reinforcement are central, making learning both productive and enjoyable. Outside teaching, I continue to engage with Spanish literature, music, and cultural events. Sharing the language and connecting students to its rich heritage is both a passion and a lifelong commitment.

Learning Spanish is about more than words — it’s about connecting with a culture, expressing ideas, and building confidence. My lessons blend conversation, grammar, and cultural context, creating a lively and supportive environment. Students are encouraged to speak from day one, learning through practice, games, and real-world examples.
Beginners focus on pronunciation, basic vocabulary, and grammar structures using interactive exercises and dialogues. Intermediate learners work on fluency, sentence formation, and listening comprehension through storytelling, role-play, and creative writing. Advanced students refine their writing and speaking, exploring idiomatic expressions, literature, and formal presentations. Exam preparation for DELE or travel-focused Spanish is also available.
Students often share that my lessons feel motivating and natural. Beyond language, they develop confidence, focus, and curiosity. My aim is to help each student think and communicate in Spanish comfortably, while cultivating an appreciation for the culture and expression behind the words.
