About Lyric

I hold a B.A. in Spanish Language, Literature, and Applied Linguistics and have taught Spanish for 7 years, helping learners of all levels achieve fluency and cultural understanding. My teaching emphasizes interactive learning, structured grammar practice, and immersive conversation, ensuring students develop confidence and competence. I provide lessons that are engaging, personalized, and supportive. Through conversation, exercises, and cultural exploration, I help learners understand the “why” behind grammar rules, idiomatic usage, and pronunciation patterns. Constructive feedback and encouragement are central to my approach, promoting steady improvement. Outside the classroom, I immerse myself in Spanish literature, music, media, and cultural activities to bring fresh perspectives into lessons. Teaching Spanish is deeply rewarding because I witness learners gain both language mastery and cultural awareness. Supporting students in becoming confident, expressive, and culturally competent communicators is the most fulfilling part of my work.

About the lesson

Spanish lessons become most engaging when students combine linguistic practice with cultural understanding. My approach emphasizes grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, conversation, listening, reading, and writing. Lessons incorporate dialogues, storytelling, comprehension exercises, and interactive roleplay to help learners apply Spanish in real-world situations. I create a supportive and encouraging environment where mistakes are learning opportunities, questions are welcomed, and curiosity is nurtured. Students learn to communicate confidently in everyday, professional, and academic settings while exploring cultural traditions, idioms, and regional variations. Each session balances practical communication, structured grammar practice, and immersive exercises to build retention and fluency.

Lesson progression is tailored to individual proficiency. Beginners focus on basic vocabulary, sentence structure, and pronunciation. Intermediate learners refine grammar, expand vocabulary, and practice more complex conversations. Advanced students develop nuanced expression, rapid comprehension, stylistic versatility, and preparation for professional or academic contexts. Lessons include practical exercises, active discussion, and consistent feedback to enhance self-confidence, independence, and mastery of Spanish.

Spanish lessons also strengthen cognitive skills, self-expression, and cultural literacy. Learners gain confidence navigating social, professional, and academic situations in Spanish. My goal is to help students become fluent, articulate, and culturally aware communicators who enjoy learning and applying their Spanish skills in meaningful contexts.
