About Abigail
I am currently finishing my degree in Modern Languages (Spanish, French and Translation) at the University of Birmingham. I have taught beginner's Spanish as well as grammar specific lessons according to the GCSE/A-Level syllabus. I have spent 6 months living in Spain and 6 months in France, gaining practical real-life experience of the 2 languages.

I have a firm belief that learning and progression is best achieved through a combination of the 4 main pillars - reading, listening, speaking and writing/grammar practice. Being able to understand a language initially through written and listening comprehension gives students the confidence when trying out the language for themselves, which is why comprehension is a key aspect that cam boost a student's confidence.
I like to assess where my students are at initially and where they are facing difficulties, as well as where their strengths lie within these key pillars. This can then be used to tailor a programme/lessons to each individual according to their needs. From here we can define some clear outcomes about what we are going to do to improve, or what we would like to achieve over the course of our lessons.
