About Barbara
I am a private Spanish as a second language tutor with previous experience as an academy teacher, where I taught both children and adults in group classes and one-to-one lessons. My method is based on the communicative approach, in which learners are actively involved in meaningful, real-life communication from the very first lesson. The classroom therefore becomes as close as possible to an authentic communicative situation, with tasks and interactions that mirror how language is used outside the classroom. This focus on genuine interaction helps students develop both fluency and confidence while using Spanish purposefully in everyday contexts.
