About Sylvester
"Music found me at 4 years old, though I eventually realized that technical perfection often kills the mood. My approach avoids the standard path because I hold a Diploma in Guitar from the Musicians Institute Hollywood. I have spent 8 years helping people build songs rather than just chasing scales.
During this time, I have guided many students while maintaining my own gigging career across the Bay Area. I prefer coffee over metronomes and write songs better than I read sheet music."

"Strings vibrating against a hardwood body creates a resonance that helps you hear the melody better. You gain perspective on lead guitar and improvisation by treating your fretboard as a compositional tool instead of a display case.
