My teaching philosophy is that learning is fun and simple
I have 7 years of teaching experience, a degree in Computer Engineering, and a professional background in software engineering at Boeing and IBM, as well as being the founder of CoDNX. I bring a unique combination of academic knowledge, industry experience, and practical problem-solving skills to every lesson.
I believe in breaking down complex concepts, making them simple, relatable, and enjoyable. Rather than encouraging memorization, I focus on helping students understand the logic and reasoning behind what they're learning.
I do my best to gauge my teaching style to each student's pace, strengths, and areas for improvement, using real-world examples, interactive exercises, and practical applications to reinforce understanding.
My approach emphasizes critical thinking, curiosity, and independent problem-solving. I encourage students to ask questions, explore different solutions, and develop the confidence to tackle challenging problems on their own.
We begin with a brief assessment of the student's understanding and a review of previously covered material. From there, I introduce new concepts through clear explanations, relatable examples, and step-by-step demonstrations.
Students then work through guided exercises before progressing to independent problem-solving, allowing me to identify areas that need additional attention.
We conclude each session with a recap of key concepts, an opportunity for questions, and constructive feedback to reinforce progress.
My goal is to ensure that students leave every lesson with a stronger understanding of the material and greater confidence in their abilities.
With a degree in Computer Engineering, professional software engineering experience at Boeing and IBM, and entrepreneurial experience as the founder of CoDNX, I bring a perspective that connects classroom learning with real-world applications.
My engineering background has strengthened my ability to break down complex problems into manageable steps, communicate technical concepts clearly, and approach challenges from multiple perspectives.
I apply these same principles to teaching mathematics, physics, and science, helping students understand not just how to solve problems, but why the underlying concepts matter.
Beyond academic performance, I am passionate about helping students develop essential lifelong skills, including critical thinking, effective communication, creativity, and self-confidence.
My experience in public speaking also allows me to help students become more articulate, comfortable expressing their ideas, and confident presenting in front of others.
Above all, I prioritize patience, encouragement, and creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and challenging themselves.
I don't just teach students how to find the right answers; I teach them how to think, reason, and approach problems independently.
I offer personalized tutoring for students and individuals at different stages of their educational and professional journeys.
Middle School Students: Building strong foundations in mathematics and general science while developing effective study habits and problem-solving skills.
High School Students: Strengthening understanding of algebra, geometry, trigonometry, physics, and general science, including preparation for examinations.
College Students: Providing support in mathematics, physics, and related foundational STEM subjects.
Public Speaking and Communication: Helping students and professionals improve presentation skills, articulate ideas clearly, overcome speaking anxiety, and develop confidence communicating with an audience.
Lifelong Learners Supporting curious individuals who want to strengthen their analytical abilities, revisit academic concepts, or expand their knowledge.
Whether you're struggling with foundational concepts, preparing for an important exam, striving for academic excellence, or looking to become a more confident communicator, my lessons are designed to meet you where you are and help you achieve your goals.
My ultimate goal is not simply to help you succeed in the classroom, but to equip you with the knowledge, confidence, and critical thinking skills to succeed well beyond it.

I'm Marvin's friend and perhaps this makes me biased, but he has been an excellent tutor for me regarding physics. I really struggled with physics on the MCAT and he was encouraging and helpful. He's a really smart dude, does software engineering and all that jazz so I'm sure you'll be able to learn plenty from him.
