About Selina
I have a History and Politics undergrad from Maastricht University and a Political Sociology master's (distinction) from LSE. I've studied Modern and Colonial History, Sociological theories, Indigenous Studies, Environmental Sociology and Political Ecology. I also took research methods modules at LSE, exploring different methods and ethical considerations. I now work for a small organisation, we use participatory methods and arts in development projects! We've worked with the UN, the British Government, and the Red Cross.

Having ADHD myself, I understand the struggles of being in an unsupportive academic environment. I want to help students get the most out of their education. I have experience tutoring Sociology and History (A-level and university). I help with essay writing, exam prep, time management, and support coping with a stressful workload. I tailor my lessons to the students' personalities and needs. I find a balance between creating engaging, challenging lessons and ensuring that students feel safe and supported. I typically keep lessons under 1 hour, but I'm flexible if the student would benefit from longer lessons (I make sure we have short breaks).
