About Charlie
I am an undergraduate student at Durham University studying Combined Honours in Social Sciences (specialising in Politics and Economics). I graduated Eton College in 2024 achieving 3A*s at A level and 9A*s and 1 A at GCSE. I have been a tutor since 2020 and have tutored students between the age of 11 and 16. Drawing from my experience I encourage interactive lessons in which you will not be employing me just to "talk at" my student, but instead engage with them frequently to ensure that understanding and concentration is maintained throughout. If I feel it necessary I may set work to be done outside of tutorials so that we can review it in a later session. Having recently been a product of the education system, I know what needs to be done to secure outstanding results.

I have been a part-time tutor since 2020, originally starting by tutoring friends of my family but have since branched out and to online platforms. I teach Maths and Chemistry for levels up to GCSE, specialising in exam preparation for common entrance and GCSE. Lesson times can be however long you wish, but I normally recommend 1hr long lessons to ensure maximum concentration is maintained throughout. I have a flexible teaching methodology that will depend on my student. I can teach topics from scratch, revisit more challenging topics for revision and go through questions from past papers. I have a wide range of resources that helped me achieve top grades in these subjects and new resources I have picked up more recently from tutoring which have proven incredibly effective.
