About Prisha
I was part of an out-of-school math curriculum (Russian School of Mathematics) for eight years, taking both honors and high honors courses. RSM has allowed me to consistently learn math above my grade level, and has proved my dedication as a student beyond the classroom. This summer, I am also going to further my role as a tutor at Pi Math School, spreading my passion for math and teaching.
I've taken the same classes as the students I will teach, including Algebra 1, Geometry honors, and Algebra 2 Honors, also winning various awards for these subjects. As a junior, I will be doubling up in math and be taking Pre-Calculus Honors and AP Statistics. I have also taught math at a summer program at my local elementary school, helping younger students feel confident, motivated, and supported when learning from me.
As a tutor, I am dedicated, approachable, and care about helping each student reach their goals. I know success doesn't come without growth, so I'm committed to helping each student see how far they can go. I take my role seriously and will always come prepared, organized, and ready to help!

My lessons are friendly, patient, and taught to make sure every student can succeed. I create a space where asking questions is encouraged and mistakes are a part of learning.
I focus on breaking down concepts step-by-step and adjust my teaching-style to fit each student's needs, whether it be through visuals, hands-on initiative, or repetition.
Each lesson will start with a quick check-in to set a focus-homework help, test preparation, or covering a specific topic the student is struggling with. We'll go through examples, practice problems, and guided explanations. I like to end with a quick quiz or recap to make sure everything makes sense.
I specialize in middle-school and elementary math, including topics such as Pre-algebra and Algebra 1 for example. I will make sure each student feels supported and comfortable every step of the way.
