About Aira
I have 6 years of piano teaching experience and hold a BA in Musicology focused on Piano History. My lessons emphasize jazz improvisation, comping, and developing a rich harmonic vocabulary. I use a holistic approach, integrating ear training, transcription, jazz theory, and rhythmic precision. I have taught Early Intermediate to Advanced Intermediate students, as well as professional jazz musicians. Students develop fluency in improvisation, chordal accompaniment, and melodic phrasing.
