Who I Am & Why I Teach Mathematics Hello! My name is AKINBOYE BABATUNDE ADEWALE, and I’m a passionate Mathematics tutor who truly believes that no one is “bad at Math” — they just need the right guidance. From my own experience as a student, I realized that Mathematics becomes easier when it’s explained in a clear, relatable, and patient way. That’s why I decided to start teaching — to help students overcome fear, gain confidence, and actually enjoy solving problems. Teaching Mathematics is not just my job; it’s something I genuinely love. I find joy in seeing that “lightbulb moment” when a student finally understands a topic they once thought was impossible. Every student learns differently, and I take time to understand each person’s strengths, challenges, and goals so I can help them reach their full potential. My mission is simple: To make Math simple, fun, and meaningful for every learner I teach.

My Techniques & Teaching Methodology:
I believe every student can understand Mathematics when it is explained in a way that makes sense to them. My lessons are interactive, practical, and tailored to each learner’s needs. I use real-life examples, step-by-step problem-solving, and visual aids (like charts, drawings, and digital tools) to make abstract concepts simple and memorable. I also focus on building confidence — helping students not just to pass exams, but to truly enjoy Maths.
Typical Lesson Length:
Each lesson lasts between 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the student’s level and focus area. Short breaks are included during longer sessions to keep the mind fresh and active. I also offer flexible scheduling for revision classes, exam preparation, or continuous weekly lessons.
I am a passionate and experienced Mathematics tutor with Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy (Currently, on the verge of becoming a Chartered Accountant and have been teaching mathematics in different Secondary Schools for about 18 years. Over the years, I’ve helped many students improve their grades, prepare for national exams (such as NECO, WAEC, or JAMB), and develop lasting problem-solving skills.
