About Isa
For the past eight years, I have dedicated myself to teaching guitar, primarily to students in school and college, helping them develop their technical abilities and cultivate a genuine passion for music. I believe that learning guitar is a highly personal process that should be tailored to the unique needs, goals, and learning styles of each individual. My approach combines a strong focus on foundational techniques—proper hand posture, smooth chord transitions, rhythm accuracy, and timing—with an emphasis on creativity and expression. I incorporate improvisation, songwriting, and music theory in ways that feel natural and relevant, using songs and genres that resonate with the student to keep lessons motivating and engaging. A particularly rewarding experience was supporting a group of students as they formed a band, progressing from beginners to confident performers at school and community events. Watching their growth in musicianship, collaboration, and stage presence was deeply inspiring. Beyond technical skill, I believe music teaches important life lessons—discipline, focus, patience, confidence, and emotional expression—that enrich a student’s overall development. I strive to foster a warm, supportive, and patient learning environment where students feel encouraged to take risks, experiment, and find joy in their musical journey. I approach teaching Guitar with the philosophy that learning should be a personal and rewarding experience. Instead of focusing only on technical exercises, I emphasize connecting lessons to your favorite songs and musical interests. This makes learning feel relevant and fun, motivating you to practice and grow. I believe steady progress comes from building a strong foundation in technique, rhythm, and theory—all taught within the context of real music you want to play.
When difficulties arise, I help you analyze and understand the problem deeply, guiding you to find lasting solutions rather than quick fixes. Feedback is delivered with honesty and kindness, designed to inspire and challenge you in a supportive environment. I adapt my teaching to your unique learning preferences, whether you learn best by ear, visually, or through written music.
Alongside playing skills, I provide instruction in improvisation, songwriting, and performance confidence to develop your full musicianship. My goal is to help you enjoy the process of learning and build skills that last a lifetime.
