About Anyah
I am a student taking further maths, maths, chemistry and psychology for A levels. I worked at Kumon to guide students while they learn. I enjoy doing many things such as painting and basketball and I like to bring smiles to people's faces.

My teaching method starts off with an assessment (based on the exam students are preparing for) which also consists of problem-solving questions and brain teasers. This is used to determine their abilities to further understand their strengths and weaknesses. Following the assessment, I teach the students their weak areas in depth whilst going through their strengths briefly. Strength in certain topics is still taught to maintain ability and memory but at a quicker pace to ensure time is being used efficiently. The order of the topics being taught will ensure weaker areas are prioritised to improve grades quicker. After I teach a topic, a step-by-step explanation to gain maximum marks is created for that type of question and the student will create their own steps in their own words to aid them in understanding further. A range of methods are explored with the student to find which is best for the individual. Worksheets are provided to practise their skills and display their learning after I have taught the topic. They will keep all worksheets to refer back to if needed. Digital records are made in case any are lost. My students have short assessments throughout their tutoring journey which shows progress and allows the student to understand any mistakes while improving their confidence in taking official exams. Parents/Guardians are permitted to oversee lessons if they feel anxious and will be able to have records of progress being tracked. A timetable is created to ensure the student is well prepared to achieve their aspired grades before their exams.

I asked Anyah to teach my 8yo son maths as he was struggling to understand the basics of Maths. Anyah invited me to sit with her on the first day and I found her approach to be friendly but firm. She knows how to speak and behave with different age groups which is a good thing for a young lady like her. I understand she has experience in teaching young kids through the Kumon programme so I didn’t hesitate to book tuition lessons with her.
My son is now 10 and his concept of maths is very good.
