About Joan
I have over 8 years of experience as a singing tutor and hold a Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice with a focus on vocal performance. My teaching approach is holistic, combining physical alignment, breath awareness, and expressive vocal techniques to help students find their true voice. I incorporate yoga-inspired vocal warmups, body mapping, and tension release methods to promote healthy singing habits and prevent strain. This mindful approach creates a strong foundation for both technical skill and emotional expression. I’m passionate about a variety of genres, including World Music, Chanting, Folk Fusion, and Healing Sound. These styles inspire me to guide students in exploring the voice as an instrument of healing and connection. My lessons are designed to nurture not just your singing, but your overall well-being. Discovering your voice is a journey of creative freedom and self-discovery. I’m here to support you every step of the way as you unlock your unique sound and use it to express your authentic self.
